Mr. Tim Cooper, President of Plumtree Company and Dr. Oliver Vietze, CEO of Baumer Group shake hands on future cooperation

October 2011 – Effective October 1, 2011 the Swedish sensor manufacturer DENEX Systems Technology has transferred their laser copy counting product rights to Baumer. This will expand Baumer’s own SCATEC copy counter and leading edge portfolio and will further strengthen their leading position in the graphic, printing and packaging industries.

With the DENEX products acquisition Baumer further announces to intensify their collaboration and enter into a strategic distribution agreement with Plumtree Company for the copy counter end user markets in North America while Baumer will strengthen its focus to serve the OEM market.

Plumtree will be the preferred “full-service” distributor to sell and provide maintenance support for all SCATEC and DENEX copy counter sensors to end users. Chosen because of Plumtree’s integrated approach to servicing and supporting its clients’ needs, Baumer’s customers will benefit from Plumtree’s onsite and hands-on technical sales support. For more than 25 years Plumtree has specialized in sales, installation and service of leading edge detection sensors for shingled streams of printed media.
